Is it OK to hammer Forrest at -600?

I know I got severely burned recently by dumping alot of money on a favorite but geez - can Forrest lose to Teddy Reid? He has Manny training him now and at a press conference yesterday he said he's having fun again boxing and feeling really good. After watching Teddy Reid on Showtime I'm pretty sure he's beatable.

I want to be more careful about dumping a ton on money on a heavy favorite but can Forrest really lose to this guy?

at other opportunities that don't require laying
so much lumber? Sure some bouts are mismatches,
but a loss at very high odds is difficult to

I wouldn't recomment it. Does Forrest probably win?? Yes, he is the much more skilled fighter. Does Reid have a chance?? Yep, any big puncher has a chance against Forrest.

I would lay on Klitschko to beat Brewster first. Steward should have this boy ready to kick Lamon's ass very easily. Wladimir's jab is like a punch.

Like I said, I am trying to avoid laying big money on heavy favs but I just think that Reid has no chance here.

Not to beat a dead horse, but saying "no chance"
is tantamount to saying the dreaded "lock" word.
Personally, this is my last comment on this, but
thinking in this manner, IMHO, can serve to cloud a person's thinking and may serve to not
allow them to see all the facts in an objective
and ubiased manner, as much as is possible.
It's as if a person already made up their mind
just by glancing at the matchup and not digging deeper. Best of luck whatever you do as always.

Terron Millett KO'ed Vernon Forrest in the Anateurs. Yes, it was a long time ago but we have already seen Forrest have a vulnerable chin in the pro's also. If there is 1 thing Teddy Reid does well, it's punch. I think Forrest wins but this fight is absolutely no lock. If Forrest makes a mistake he could be put to sleep.

Playing Russian Roulette isnt smart - I know. I just think that Reid's chances of winning this fight is extremely minimal. Forrest fought the second Mayorga fight without getting
anything near knocked out. I'm pretty sure he can handle Reid.

I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Get some feedback - thats all.

I think that Forrest has a good chance, but in my opinion, and it looks like alot of other peoples opinions, the risk isnt worth the reward. When you say no chance, just remember Nate Campbell. I learned a hard lesson that night, and i will never forget that. I lost alot of money. Forrest lost his last 2 fights to a guy who backed him up. Teddy Reid isnt a great boxer, but he can punch and likes a rough fight, and if he backs up Vernon he may have a decent shot. Personally if you wanna pound something, pound Chris Byrd, or the over in the Ruiz fight. much better chances but less risk. Anyways good luck with your wagers.

I agree. I'd pound Byrd way before I pound Vernon. Byrd's skin is probably softer.


By the way... Byrd is still -280 at wsex. (which I've been nipping at)

After Byrds last fight I definitely would be hesitant to throw alot of cash on him. But the Ruiz vs Oquendo over sounds real good.
